01Market and customers

Who buys whatwe grow.

We supply maize, sesame and soybean to processing industries and to local buyers across the domestic market. The next step is our own processing, which will let us add value to what we grow and widen the range we offer.

Selling runs by season. The volume of each crop comes out of the area in production and how the harvest performs, so supply is agreed season by season, with volume and delivery set from the outset.

The harvest is cleaned, dried and stored under controlled conditions. That is what lets us hold delivery dates and sustain volume agreements through the year, rather than depending on when the harvest falls.

02Why us

Four reasons tobuy direct.

Buying at source, with growing, storage and sale under the same management.

  • Our own production

We sell only what we harvest from our own fields, in the Mandimba district.

  • No middlemen

You deal directly with the grower, with no resale layer in between.

  • Volume each season

More than 150 hectares in production, with three crops in rotation through the year.

  • Positioned in the north

Close to the markets of northern Mozambique and to the regional trade routes.

03Harvest and sale

From ripenessto the buyer.

Five stages between the field and the truck. Not one runs to a calendar: each depends on the state of the crop and the grain.

Unit of sale
By season, with volume and delivery agreed
Storage
Our own warehouse, under controlled conditions
Maize drying in the plot, the cobs already formed
Maize at ripeness, shortly before harvest
  1. 01

    Ripeness

Each plot is watched until the grain or the seed reaches the right point. The harvest follows the crop, not the calendar.

  2. 02

    Harvest

Done plot by plot, with the season’s team and the farm’s own machines.

  3. 03

    Cleaning and drying

The grain is cleaned and dried to the moisture level that keeps it sound in storage.

  4. 04

    Storage

Kept in our own warehouse, under controlled conditions. That is what lets us hold delivery dates and sustain volume agreements.

  5. 05

    Sale

Supplied to processing mills and local buyers, with volume and delivery agreed by season.

04Agroprocessing

The next step:process it here.

Agro Lichimua’s next investment is a processing plant of its own, to add value to what we grow and widen the range we offer.

Today the harvest leaves the province as raw material. Processing in Niassa means putting a finished product on the market, creating more jobs in the region and cutting the losses that come with transport.
